Take the metro blue line to the Sagrada Familia station, the closest metro station to the church.

Parc Guell

Park Guell is a stunning, architecturally designed garden at Carmel Hill along with its historical Roman temples.

How to Reach:

  • Hop on the blue line of Bus Turístic and drop off at Park Güell.
  • Board the Green metro line 3, reach Vallcarca stopark which is 15 minutes’ walking distance away from the park.

Things to know:

  • Buying tickets in advance is preferred to avoid long waiting lines.
  • You can enter the Monumental Zone in about 30 minutes under your time slot.

Montserrat

Among the jagged mountains, Montserrat stands as the historical Benedictine monastery.

If Park Duell does not match your aesthetic, then the classic architecture of Parc de la Ciutadella will hit the mark. 

The lush green garden includes a zoo, the Museu d’Art Modern, the Catalan Parliament, the Museu de Geologia and the Zoological Museum. 

Row a boat yourself in the lake at the center of the park and become a hopeless romantic like the boat scene from Notebook.

Board the metro line L1 and reach the Arc de Triomf station.
